About
George P. Kadifa
George Kadifa has defended people accused of crimes for more than seven years. He learned the work in public defender offices — first as a graduate law clerk in the Marin County Public Defender, then two years as a Deputy Public Defender in Kern County.
He established his own firm in 2022 and now practices throughout California. He serves on the criminal conflict panels in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties, the lists from which the courts appoint counsel when the public defender cannot take a case.
His practice includes homicide defense and serious sex offense allegations. He has represented clients in multi-defendant gang homicide proceedings, conducted preliminary hearings on attempted murder and child molestation allegations, and tried a child rape case to jury verdict.
He speaks conversational Levantine Arabic and working-level French, and takes appointments in either. He has written for Just Security, the San Jose Mercury News, and the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics, where he served as Senior Book Annotations Editor.
